Attorney Hairston ran for office (City Council) in 2006 and in 2010. She has been living in the city for 20 years.

Luella is married to Pastor Hugh Hairston, the Lead Pastor at Loveland Church at the Victorville, CA site.

Hugh and Luella have a blended family of 6. Daughter Jasmine Hairston, 20, is the only child still at home and is currently attending Seattle Pacific University where she is a Peer Advisor to 38 girls.
